Ennio Brion

01/12/2011

Ennio Brion was born in 1940 in Bassano del Grappa, in the province of Vicenza.
He graduated in Milan with a degree in Economics and Commerce, and demonstrated a great interest in his family’s company from an early age, with a particular focus on design and innovation.
When his father Giuseppe passed away in 1968, Ennio Brion took over the leadership of the company Brionvega, famous for its radios and televisions, alongside his mother.
Ennio Brion remained at the helm of Brionvega until the company was sold in 1985.
Over the years Ennio Brion became increasingly interested in design and architecture, his two great passions, working with Marco Zanuso, Carlo Scarpa, Ettore Sottsass and the Memphis Group; he served as Chairman of the Italian Electrical Technology Industry Association and of the Amici di Brera Association in Milano.
Brion is now CEO of Auredia
S.r.l of Milan, a company concerned with real estate development projects of particular value in terms of architecture and landscape, with which he developed plans for the Nuovo Portello district in Milan.
